DO NOT USE! They are scammers and unprofessional. They held my stuff hostage, charged way more than what I was quoted, broke several items and generally lied all through the move. I was told that they were a moving company and how bad brokers were and that's what they turned out to be. The company that delivered DEER TRUCKING from Edison, NJ were also scammers. Extremely unprofessional and downright lazy. They hired people off the street and didn't do the work themselves that I was made to pay extra for.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $6000

I hired this company for an interstate move and regret doing so. There was no communication regarding the pick-up or delivery except by the drivers -- just before they showed up. The trucks are U-Haul trailers or plain box trucks that are filthy inside. Approximately 90% of my furniture arrived damaged in some way, an antique table is missing, AND the hardware to reassemble my furniture was not included with the delivery. When I called Presidential their only response was to "file a claim". I asked what I was supposed to do about my unassembled furniture all over the house -- "file a claim". A desk was demolished and the driver told me he tried to super glue it together before delivering it. He also told me he was a subcontractor. When I said I was not going to pay the balance because the job was not finished, they threatened to call the police on ME! The claim process is a joke because they change the rules when you dispute the offer. I provided a URL address for every item damaged, and they claimed weights were not shown. When I resubmitted with a photo of specs and the weights circled they came back and said the URLs had to be from Amazon or eBay. No where in the instructions is that information stated. And, I didn't buy my furniture from Amazon so why should I have to use that as a guide? Now my furniture looks like it came from Goodwill! I am amazed there are so many favorable reviews on here because that has certainly not been my experience. They are eager to take your money, pick up your precious belongings, then do with them as they wish without a care. When you file a claim, they are quick to point out what you, the customer, failed to do so that negates any responsibility on their part.

Don't play their game and be a victim!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5800

Moving services were used on 5/13/2023 for a move from New Jersey to Florida. Company picked up things and told me that it was being loaded onto a truck and it expected to be delivered in a few days. We had to wait over three fill weeks before getting our belongings. During the 3 weeks period called were placed to the company most of which were dodged & ignored. Once they finally had a delivery estimate there were other issues upon their arrival. Their moving team made damages to the refrigerator that was in the home during their moving process. Property walls and some of the furniture that were shipped with them were also damaged. The movers did not complete full scope of services that were paid for such as unassembling & assembling furniture. They had no regards for the items labeled fragile or breakable & stacked everything carelessly. Not ro mention they lost some items & despite asking for a claims for twice they are yet to provide one.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $8000

It has been extremely stressful from pick up day until now. They have ONE job, which is to give a price based on everything I have provided them with (including photos and videos), even then, during pick up they proceed to ask for more money. when i call the company to speak to the gentlemen who sold me the service, he is conveniently not available and i have to then speak to someone else who was never involved before. meanwhile, when the sales pitch was being done and the estimate was completed, on the phone I was specifically told that they were also still leaving room for anything else I might add (clearly that was not true as I was still charged a great amount). Again, they have ONE JOB, and it obviously is not done correctly and transparently as I have noted above.

Secondly, very misleading sales pitch, I was very clear with them about my needs during this move which they positively proceeded to say it would all be handled accordingly and not to worry. My main concern was the delivery date and i was told it wouldn’t be a problem as they actually said there was another load going to Aventura, FL, which would make the move easy and timely for me. That’s not the case now. They also never mentioned that my load would be worked on only after my FAD, and not from pick up date. if that was the case, I would’ve told them I was available before. This was not clear at all to me, specially since, again, they were very careful and assertive to say there wouldn’t be a problem with my delivery date as they had another load going the same way. I trusted their word but they dont care at all! the customer service attitude of whoever answers the phone is just nasty and rude, the lady wont even let you finish talking about your concern and will start yelling at you like its not her problem and you just have to accept it is what it is....

And it is crazy to me, How is it that they only start working from FAD? If it’s first available date it means I am ready and you guys should be too! It shouldn’t mean, you just then start working on my things. From PA to FL it takes time, so they had already plenty of time and chose not to do anything about it and just hold your things in a warehouse which they didnt even know where it was... the lady had to confirm because she had no idea.... I asked for pictures and they refuse... so who knows where it is or whats happened to it.... Mind you, during the whole scamming sales pitch I asked if they could deliver during a certain date, the guy said they cant guarantee the date but said the time frame for PA to FL is 3-7 days.... its now 13 days and still no news of when the truck will even leave with my things.

This has been the most stressful process I have and am experiencing, this has been extremely disappointing, misleading and no transparency at all from their side. Customer service is the most important part of a business and they have zero consideration for their customers, the only consideration shown is when they give the sales pitch and make it seem like it’s all perfect, once they receive the down payment and pick up the load it’s all down hill and the true colors start showing.

I moved from China to the US and had zero stress, what was said was actually done. I am baffled at how moving from one state to another within the US is causing so much of a headache.

Lastly, Presidential Van Lines says they are not brokers or sub-contractors, thats also a lie! They use a third party company to load the truck from Uhaul and work under a company Moving Ops who has been contracted as the booking agent for PRESIDENTIAL VAN LINES. Everything is very confusing and there is no transparency AT ALL!!!

DO NOT use presidential van lines, just do it yourself if you can and hire loading/unloading helpers only!!!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3300

Hired this company to move us from Lansdale, Pa to Grand Junction, Co. After taking almost a month to receive our belongings, over $5000 in items were missing/stolen including a high end desktop computer. They have tried to use every excuse under the sun to our missing items. Their offer was to pay 30 cents per pound for the missing items which might pay us $60 - $70. They also claim to be a full service moving company but they sub contracted our move out to other individuals that own a truck and don't even work for their company. Items arrived broken and even some soaking wet and water damaged. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a moving company as this one is nothing but a scam.

DO NOT TRUST PRESIDENTAL VAN LINES!!!

Delivered Nine (9) days after Scheduled leaving my family with No Clothing, Personal Items, and Furniture!!! I was not told about the delay until the day before the Requested/Scheduled Delivery date---OUTRAGEOUS!!!

The missed delivery date cost me thousands of dollars in hotel rooms, meals in restaurants and purchases of additional clothing and personal items, not to mention the strain on my family and additional stress,

In short, don’t trust Presidential Van Lines.

First Issue:

My move was from PA to Southwest Florida. On my first call to Presidential I told them the date that I wanted delivery. My representative checked with Dispatch and told me that the requested delivery date would not be a problem.

Reality, Delivery was 9 Days Late.

Second Issue:

My requested delivery date was 26 days after my belongings were being picked up. I was told, that they would be shipped to Presidential’s Storage Facility in Fort Lauderdale where they would then be loaded for delivery to my home.

Reality: My belongings sat in a warehouse in Maryland until the day before they were finally delivered.

Third Issue

I asked if Presidential was going to handle the move, or if it was going to subcontract it out to other movers. I was assured that Presidential used its own people.

Reality: Both the pick-up and final delivery were handled by Subcontractors. My belongings were delivered in a Penske Truck. I should point out that both Subcontractors were pleasant and professional.

Fourth Issue:

I called my representative 3 days before the Requested/Scheduled Delivery Date to Confirm that the delivery would be as scheduled. After several calls, I was told that the delivery should be as scheduled but my representative was waiting for a final confirmation from Dispatch.

Reality, when I called my belongings were still in Maryland where they had been sitting since they were picked up.

When I was called the day before my expected delivery I was told that they would not be delivered on the expected date, but they would be delivered 2-14 business days after the expected date. The customer service representative assured me that she knew how I felt and understood my concerns about the delayed delivery –no doubt a well-practiced response to this situation.

The representative referred me to a provision on page 3 of the Estimate that stated for deliveries over 1000 miles away, that the actual delivery could be 2-14 business days after the date on the first page of the agreement. OUTRAGEOUS because I was never told of that possibility and I was assured of a specified delivery date. OUTRAGEOUS because Presidential had 26 day to transport my belongings to Florida before the delivery date but did not.

In short, don’t trust Presidential Van Lines.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would have. Presidential Van Lines - John Mamone - lost TWENTY-THREE - yes, 23 of our boxes and Costco "Giant Ladder" along with family heirlooms in our move from Florida to a northern state. They ignore all calls. A police report has been filed. They are thieves. They doubled the price from their original estimate and held our property hostage until we paid them CASH or a Post office money order, no credit cards. Big RED FLAGS.

Only thing I have to say about PVL is that they are true scammers all the way. From beginning to end. Actually, the nightmare hasnt ended yet for me..... after taking ages to deliver, charging me extra for every little thing and losing my belongings along the way with no excuses, not to mention all the damages they caused on most of my furniture..... Now their so called "insurance" CSI, which is processing my claim, has just informed me they are unable to process my claim on time, mind you, it has been more than 4 months already!!! They are a joke, they are not a professional company at all, and be aware, they sub contract 3rd parties to complete the move for them, and their insurance company can't do their job on time. Probably because they are indeed so incompetent that they have so many claims pilled up, or simply because they are stalling you. IMCOMPETENT and SCAMMERS!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! My patience with them is running out!

Find another moving company. This company claims up front not to use 3rd party movers. That is a lie. Planning and scheduling of the move was fine. Pick-up was fine. Then, nearly 4 weeks passed without any communication as to when the items would be loaded or delivered. During that time I called three different times and was told they didn’t know when the items would be loaded and couldn’t provide an estimate of any kind. After 26 days I received an unannounced call telling me that the truck would be at my door in 15-75 minutes and I needed cash on hand to pay the movers. I’ve moved across states half a dozen times in the last 15 years and this is the most unprofessional interaction I’ve ever dealt with. Find another moving company.

This company has been the most stressful, unprofessional, and downright dishonest company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS PEOPLE. They estimated my move to be around $2000 for a one bedroom move. They spent an hour of the phone with me to tell me the difference between a broker and moving company. They insisted they were a moving company and then turned right around and sold my contract to another company. They gave me a time and date to be ready for pickup, and never showed! After contacting them, the company they sold the contract to contacted me and said they would arrive the next day at 12pm. They didnt show up until after 3pm. They loaded the truck, which took many hours because they only sent 1 guy to move everything! The truck was a Penske rental truck. Once everything was loaded up, they TRIPLED my rate. TRIPLE. Nothing but a bunch of CROOKS. Fast forward to the delivery side, it has been DAYS and I do not have my belongings and the company will not answer the phone. The only good reviews about this company are from themselves! STAY AWAY. I have to contact the police, better business bureau, and chamber of commerce to report theft and fraud.
